Tom or Thom called me and made a threatening remark that he was going to come to my home because I posted something on social media questioning the reasonableness of a rent price for one of his rental properties on Sportstraat in Amsterdam based off an estimation of the maximum reasonable rent price / Huurprijscheck. After rebuffing him on the phone call, Thom told me "I know where you live, lets go" and then hung up.
Thom played dumb on the followup whatsapp and made a homophobic remark but once he realized I had recorded the call his attitude became defensive and accused me of being rude on the phone.
I cannot recommend anyone does any sort of business with this man. If you are renting from him, double check the rent price on the Huurcommissie website.
